Nghid il-verita kont id-dar jien bil-leave u smajta l-ispluzzjoni imma hsibthom qieghdin jiccelebraw ir-rebha tal-elezzjoni. Wara ftit min fuq ir-radju beda jghid x'kien gara u tlajt fuq il-bejt u nara dahna sewda tielgha min bejn il-bini in-naha tal-mithna tan-naxxar. Min hawn ma tantx hawn boghod ma nafx kif ma indunajtx li kienet daqshekk kbira l-ispluzzjoni.

The election has come and gone thank god. Was really close and it took a whole day to come out with the results ,very very close indeed . Only one thousand five hundred votes divided the parties with the small parties only getting a small amount of votes.I say thank god because you know in the past elections weren't very peaceful. I suppose this time there was a chance that trouble could erupt when you consider they took so long to come out with the result, and at first labour were claiming they were ahead with their party secretary opening his big mouth and saying they were going to win when there was nothing to count on.The more time went by it became more evident that the nationalists were in advantage though only by the narrowest of margins.

  Anyway all is well that ends well . Maybe finally things are getting better and we are learning to be more civilised in this small island of ours.I can't understand why we have to be so divisive in anything from the local feast to band clubs and elections. Seems like there are two nations living on this small island .The people on the other side really enjoy it when things go wrong for the government and vice versa. I just hope that finally we are getting nearer to collaborating together to work for the good of our nation.What the fuck does it matter for the good of the nation if we are blue or red.Doesn't everybody suffer from the mistakes and doesn't everybody enjoy when things go well for us . We are a small nation but we could make Malta a really huge success story where all of us can make a  comfortable living . All of them were promising heaven on earth before the elections .Quite a few things that I suppose they knew they couldn't deliver even if we strike oil. The situation abroad doesn't augur very well at the moment as the price of oil has continued to soar to unexpected heights.I can't see how we are getting tax cuts and paying our oil bill plus the increase of the price of cereals all over the world .Let's keep our fingers crossed.

          I have never been one to go and ask for favours which don't belong to me legally but i see a lot of other people doing it and then creating hell if they don't get their way.They don't care of the damage they are doing to the rest of the community but that's Maltese way of life . As long as they get what they want they are happy and everyone is happy. All i want for this government to work for the good of all the community even the ones on the other side. What i care for is that i can find a job ,that my wage lets me live a comfortable life,and that's what is mine legally i can have without a lot of red and fuss. Give more thought to the people who don't support it as they give out a more real picture of the situation at that point in time.They aren't yes men who only tell you only what you want to hear .

    I hope that the new government listens to what the nation wants not what the supporters want. It must keep its ears to the ground and not behave like a silly sod thinking they know it all.One should remember the small number of votes that divide the parties .The nationalists won't be so lucky next time around if they aren't careful to the peoples needs. Let's hope they do for the good of all the nation.
